I have been influenced and guided by the training and teachings of those who are highly respected in the field of regulating the nervous system when it gets overwhelmed. Among these have been Janina Fisher, Tara Brach, Richard Swartz, Merete Holm Brantbjerg, Babette Rothschild, Peter Levine, Deb Dana, Carolyn Spring and many, many others, including, of course the wisdom from my teachers at the Karuna Institute, Maura Sills and Franklyn Sills.
I've been learning such a lot about the trauma suffered by people as a result of oppression arising because of being 'othered', whether it be due to skin colour, race, lack of privilege, ability, religion, or because of not complying with society's view of supposed norms of gender and sexuality. People who have consistently been given the message that they just 'don't belong'. I would like to offer my part in contributing, even if only in a small way, to a world that is more just and where people can feel more comfortable in their own skin.

I'm a fully registered Senior Psychotherapist, Counsellor and Supervisor, with nearly 40 years experience. I've been reaping (and still am!) the benefits of working through my own life's challenges, and I continue to try and learn and grow in both personal and professional spheres. My therapy room is in Totnes, South Devon, though I also work via online video with those who are unable to get here personally, and/or may not live locally.
During the pandemic I've been solely working with people via telephone or online platforms such as Zoom or Skype.
